FirstGEN for Schools
Program sessions would be scheduled with Domestic Student Recruitment to run within school hours and cover the below concepts:
- why the FirstGEN program is offered, and motivations for university study
- making a decision on interests/skills
- fears and worries about university study
- making the ‘wrong choice’
- support services
- what university study looks like
- HECS explained, finance and budgeting for university life, scholarships
- SATAC application workshop
- Open Day planning
At the completion of the structured program:
- Year 12 moratorium for exams (available for change of preference guidance)
- Orientation sessions commence on campus at the University of ÁùºÏ²Ê¿ª½±Êý¾Ý
